Fully Cooked Breakfast Turkey Patties are almost always in our freezer for a quick, filling breakfast option. These are really easy for my kids to put on a plate and warm up in the microwave. They taste even better when you warm them up on a pan on the stove top, but since my kids are usually grabbing their own breakfast on a school day, they usually use the microwave.
I like having these on hand because I like having a filling, high protein, easy breakfast option. My kids like breakfast sausage but I don’t want them to eat breakfast sausage on a regular basis when typical pork breakfast sausage is so high in fat. The Great Value turkey breakfast patties are only 3.5g of fat and 1g saturated fat compared to 20g of fat and 7g saturated fat in a pork sausage patty of the same brand.
We usually buy the Great Value brand. It is one of the few Walmart brand items that do not state they are cross contaminated with other allergens. I have not called to ask about their production lines and procedures because Walmart is so overly cautious about labeling, that I feel confident enough for our family that they would have labeled a “may contain” if there were any possibilities. There are also a lot of other turkey sausage patty brands available that do not contain milk, egg or nuts.

If you are looking for a quick and easy filling breakfast option that is both egg and dairy free, breakfast sausage fits the bill. If you choose turkey sausage over pork sausage, you will cut down significantly on the fat content, which I try to be aware of for our family. I hope this helps give you another safe and easy idea for breakfast!
