Traditional Chex Mix

Traditional Chex Mix is one of the few store bought snacks that does not contain dairy or nuts. It contains wheat and soy. Since my hubby loves to munch on things during car trips, this was a great find that everyone can enjoy without anyone feeling left out. I love that they are available in single serving packages so we can use them in lunches, traveling or day trips. And since it is easy to find at most any grocery store, I love that not only our family, but anyone who wants to buy food for our son can easily find it.

Does Chex Mix Use Shared Lines?
While Traditional Chex Mix is dairy free, egg free, and nut free, there are other Chex Mix flavors that include milk or nuts, so I called General Mills to ask if they used shared lines. (3/25/19) The woman I spoke with said they label anything that may contain one of the top 8 allergens with a “May Contain” statement. She said if it was made on the same lines, it would have that statement. There is no “May Contain” label on their packaging, so I take that as a green light for our family.
Store Bought Dairy Free Snacks
Some of our go-to dairy free, egg free, nut free snacks are Traditional Chex Mix, Fritos, Bugles, Beef Jerky, Fruit Cups, Lay’s Potato Chips, Lay’s BBQ Chips, Kashi Super Bites, and Kashi Chocolate Chip Chia Granola Bars. What are some of your favorite safe store bought snacks?
